February 9, 2023: Special Session of the ISCO Working Group Child Labour

We invited all SWISSCO members to join a special session of the ISCO WG Child Labour, where Patrick Elmer & Morgane Loisel presented the design of an Impact Bond to address child labour in the cocoa value chain in Côte d’Ivoire.

The Impact Bond aims to reduce child labour in the cocoa value chain in Côte d'Ivoire, contributing mainly to SDG 8 but also to SDGs 2, 4 and 17 by focusing on activities around school feeding in 4-5 regions in Côte d’Ivoire. Foreseen activities are the establishment of a reliable supply chain for food and provisions, the construction/Refurbishment of a canteen, the recruitment and training of staff and the capacity building of decentralised structures and the community – all in close consultation and with the involvement of local stakeholders and aimed at ensuring sustainability over the longer term. The Impact Bond is currently still looking for interested outcome funders and investors to be able to start with the implementation of the activities in September 2023.

If you are interested in joining any of the ISCO WGs and you have not signed up yet or you have signed up for an ISCO Working Group and did not receive an invitation for past meetings, please contact us via info(at)kakaoplattform.ch and we will register you for the respective Working Group.
